Shaky Bridge Artisan Series
Our Artisan Series wines comprise fruit from the winery's original Home Block together with Pinot Noir from a

Our 2007 Pinot Noir has a rich, dark ruby colour with spicy aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant, cranberry and vanilla. The wine has intense layers of flavour showing the contributions of each vineyard source. Supported by rich, ripe tannins and earth the wine has a long, smooth, complete finish. Filled with intense peach, apricot and floral aromas, our 2009 Pinot Gris delivers a luscious, weighty mouthful of wine providing a crisp clean finish with a hint of spice. Unlike many of its global cousins, the style of our Pinot Gris encapsulates the essence of Central Otago by providing a full and uniquely flavoured taste profile for this variety. Shaky Bridge Gewurztraminer 2008 Our 2008 Gewurztraminer shows lifted aromatics of lavender, brown spices, ginger and apple. Perfectly balanced in an off dry style, the wine will match a range of spicy foods and is a wonderful companion to pear and apple based desserts. This wine has a classically styled spiced Gewurztraminer profile, offset by Central Otago minerality and an exceptional mouth feel.

Our 2009 Chardonnay is a delicious marriage of stone fruits, refreshing citrus flavors and minerals. We blend a small portion of oak fermented Chardonnay to our main production of ‘unoaked’ wine to produce a light, refreshing wine. The result is a bright, fresh style of Chardonnay, balanced by the perfect touch of richness. Enjoy drinking this wine on its own or match it with a wide variety of Spring and Summer seasonal foods. Shrimp, vegetable flans, white fish salads or a big bowl of fresh mussels with butter, garlic and lemon zest are ideal.

We believe Alexandra Riesling combines the best attributes of the old and new world Riesling regions, creating a wonderfully fresh and zesty wine full of lemon, lime and Alexandra minerality. We balance these characters with moderate to high acidity, making a crisp wine with a beautifully clean finish in an off dry style. We like our Riesling with just a hint of residual sugar to balance the acidity, providing a complete Riesling experience for lovers of this variety. This wine is ideal as an aperitif or a superb match with Pacific Asian flavours.

Shaky Bridge Pinot Noir Rose 2009 We use the Saignée method to produce our Rose, capturing the deliciously creamy strawberry and raspberry flavors this wine offers. Perfectly balanced with fresh acidity and a touch of fruit sweetness, this lively, refreshing wine is delicious any time. Shaky Bridge Pioneer Series We source fruit for our Pioneer Series wines from our largest vineyard, located on Dunstan Road. This 20 hectare vineyard is home to Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer ; the three wines our Pioneer Series comprises. We make these wines in a very friendly, easy drinking style, with delicious typicity of the variety at a very affordable price. |

Shaky Bridge Pioneer Series Pinot Noir 2006 Our 2006 Pioneer Series Pinot Noir is primarily comprised of fruit harvested from our Pioneer Vineyard on Dunstan Rd. The wine exhibits a rich dark ruby colour, exotic aromas of spice together with primary fruit flavours of raspberry, rhubarb and blackcurrant. The wine possesses a wonderful intensity of flavour, characterized by rich fruit, ripe tannins and earth. The finish is long, even and smooth. We recommend you enjoy this wine on its own, or served with a variety of foods such as chicken, lamb, venison or salmon. |

Shaky Bridge Pioneer Series Gewurztraminer 2008 Our 2008 Pioneer Series Gewurztraminer is comprised of fruit harvested from our Pioneer Vineyard on Dunstan Rd. Our 2008 harvest provided exceptionally high quality fruit offering intense aromatic characteristics. Filled with spiced apricot and floral notes, we left a touch of residual sugar in the wine to balance the natural acidity and provide a beautifully rounded texture. This wine is delicious to drink on its own, but is also a fantastic companion to many different foods. Thai, spicy Chinese, Mexican and Indian curries are all potential matches with this delicious wine.
